European Union finance ministers are meeting in the Cypriot capital for an informal ECOFIN gathering chaired by Cyprus Finance Minister Makis Keravnos, as part of Cyprus’ presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The meeting will focus on the competitiveness of the EU.
Ministers are expected to discuss actions needed at the European level to strengthen the bloc’s economic performance.
Talks will conclude with a joint session bringing together finance ministers and the governors of the EU’s central banks.
Officials will also exchange views on the opportunities and risks linked to the use of stablecoins.
