It will be Liverpool that Newcastle will have the pleasure of facing in the final of the English League Cup in March.
In the second leg of the semi-final on Thursday evening, the red-shirted Tottenham were blown off the field at Anfield by a whopping 4-0.
Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboslai and Virgil van Dijk took care of the scoring and sent Liverpool into the final, which will be played at Wembley on March 16.
The Reds, who are defending champions of the League Cup, face Newcastle, who knocked out Arsenal in their semi-final 4-0 on aggregate.
Should the Northern Englishmen manage to win the final, it would be Newcastle’s first domestic trophy in 70 years.
