Once filled with old bangers, the roads of Turkish controlled north Cyprus have transformed into a veritable playground for ultra-luxury cars, featuring an array of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Porsches worth millions of euros.

Once a rare sight even in Europe’s wealthiest nations, these automotive marvels have now become commonplace, giving the little enclave a dash of Dubai-like opulence.

According to the ‘Vehicle Registration, Inspection, and Licensing Department,’ in the north, the past two years have seen an explosion in vehicle sales, particularly in the ultra-luxury segment.

Alongside high-end brands like Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, and Jeep, it’s now routine to spot Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Porsches cruising the roads.

Data reveals hundreds of new registrations for these high-end brands in 2023 and 2024.

Among them, Porsche leads the pack with 228 new registrations over the past two years.

While most are purchased used, a few brand-new models have also hit the streets, including the stylish Jeep-style versions from this iconic German manufacturer.

In 2023 alone, 95 new Porsches were registered in north, with 4 being brand new. The following year saw an even greater surge, with 133 new registrations.

Not far behind, Italy’s legendary sports car brands Lamborghini and Ferrari have also made their mark.

In 2023, 7 Lamborghinis were sold, followed by 4 more in 2024, including one new model. The most popular among these was the Urus, a high-style jeep akin to the Porsche Cayenne.

Ferrari, though fewer in number, still makes an impression. In 2023, 4 new Ferraris took to the roads, followed by 3 more in 2024. In total, 7 Ferraris have joined the traffic in the past two years.
