The weather across Cyprus will be mostly sunny this weekend, but rising temperatures take center stage. Despite the heat, scattered showers are likely in mountainous regions today (Saturday), Sunday, and Monday. Travelers heading for higher altitudes are advised to bring a light jacket and enjoy the summer drizzle.

A seasonal low-pressure system continues to affect the region.

Saturday Forecast: Skies will be mostly clear, though localized cloud buildup in the afternoon may bring isolated showers in mountain areas. Winds will begin as light southeasterlies to southwesterlies (around 3 Beaufort), gradually shifting to light to moderate southwesterlies to northwesterlies (3–4 Beaufort). Occasionally, winds on the southern coast may strengthen to 5 Beaufort. Seas will be slightly rough.

Temperatures are expected to reach:

  • 37°C inland
  • 31°C on the western coast
  • Around 33°C on other coasts
  • 30°C in higher mountain areas

Saturday Night: Mostly clear skies, with localized low clouds or patchy fog. Winds will remain light to moderate, blowing primarily from the southwest to northwest (3–4 Beaufort). Seas will stay slightly rough. Overnight lows:

  • ~23°C inland and coastal areas
  • ~19°C in mountain regions

Sunday and Monday: Sunny conditions will prevail, with increased cloudiness during afternoon hours bringing potential isolated showers—again, mainly in the mountains.

Tuesday: Clear skies are expected throughout the island.
