Inflation and Unemployment Rates in Cyprus

FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE  – Annual inflation in Cyprus stood at 2.1% in March, down from 2.3% in February, according to data from the European Statistical Office (Eurostat).

The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) rose by 0.5% in March compared to the previous month.

On unemployment, 25,000 people were jobless in February, representing an unemployment rate of 4.9%, down from 5.2% in January.

The breakdown showed 5.4% unemployment among women and 4.5% among men, based on Eurostat figures.
