FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Researchers at Tel Aviv University have unveiled scNET, an advanced AI tool designed to analyze cell behavior in changing biological environments, including responses to drug treatments.
Unlike existing technologies that struggle with data noise when pinpointing gene activity changes in single cells, scNET overcomes this by integrating single-cell gene data with gene interaction networks.
In tests, the tool revealed how cancer treatments enhanced immune T cells’ ability to kill tumors—subtle effects previously masked by noise.
Published in Nature Methods, scNET is expected to accelerate drug development and improve understanding of diseases.
Researchers emphasized its potential to decode complex cell behavior and aid in designing targeted therapies.
