FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Foreign tourists spent approximately 874,900 overnight stays in Israeli hotels in the first four months of 2025, marking a 53.7% increase compared to the same period last year.

In April alone, hotels recorded 317,300 tourist stays, an 88.2% rise year-on-year. The increase followed a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon on Nov. 27, 2024, and a temporary ceasefire in Gaza on Jan. 19, 2025, prompting several international airlines to resume flights to Israel.

Despite the rebound, tourist stays remain well below pre-conflict levels. In the first four months of 2023, before the outbreak of hostilities, the figure stood at 3.17 million.
