Istanbul Airport was the busiest airport in Europe between Aug. 18 and 24, handling an average of 1,635 flights per day, according to EUROCONTROL’s latest aviation report.
Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport followed with 1,450 daily flights, while Paris Charles de Gaulle recorded 1,432. Frankfurt and London Heathrow rounded out the top five with 1,384 and 1,346 flights respectively.
Antalya Airport also made the top 10, ranking eighth with an average of 1,055 daily flights during the same period. The figures reflect strong summer travel demand and Turkey’s growing role as a regional aviation hub.
