According to the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, EU foreign ministers will meet in Brussels at the end of January to discuss lifting sanctions on Syria.
“We are working to ensure that we can actually make decisions on the matter at that time,” Kallas commented.
The former Estonian Prime Minister made the announcement while traveling to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where representatives from Western and Middle Eastern countries will gather on Sunday to discuss the situation in Syria.
