Lebanon’s Ministry of Information has said that claims circulating online about UNIFIL forces finding a tunnel with 176 gold bars in the village of Qantara, Marjayoun, are false.
The ministry’s Fact Check Lebanon team said the image shared with the story originated from a Facebook group called “Sumerian Anunnaki Gods” and was posted Oct. 31 with a Turkish caption referring to “ongoing preparations for the Anunnaki.”
Officials said the post confirms the report has no basis in fact.
