FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A 24-hour strike at 13 major German airports on Monday is set to cause significant disruptions to air travel.
Organized by the Verdi union, the strike involves security personnel, service employees, inspectors, passport control staff, and baggage handlers.
The affected airports include Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Hanover, Bremen, Hamburg, Berlin, Leipzig, Weeze, and Karlsruhe.
Verdi is demanding an 8% pay increase or a minimum monthly raise of €350, along with higher bonuses and three additional days off.
