In a repeat of the previous test launch, SpaceX lost contact with its massive Starship rocket.
The team reported a “rapid, unplanned disassembly.” The 123-meter-long rocket was launched from Texas just before sunset, marking its eighth test flight.
According to the AP news agency, debris from the exploded rocket was visible in the sky over Florida. Flightradar24 reported that several flights in the area were diverted.
