FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The Palestinian Independent Film Festival (PIFF) is set to return to Cyprus from June 13 to 15, showcasing films that explore Palestinian realities.
Organizers describe this year’s edition as “more urgent and meaningful than ever,” citing ongoing events in Gaza, repression in the West Bank, and the erasure of Palestinian life and memory.
They emphasize the festival as a cultural response—an act of resistance, remembrance, and truth-telling.
The second edition will be shorter than last year’s but more focused, featuring four films that present different perspectives on Palestine.
The 2025 program highlights narratives from Gaza, the West Bank, and the occupied 1948 territories, examining struggles and resilience across these regions.
