A total of 110 palm trees have been planted along the seafront at Castella Beach in an effort to beautify the area and enhance its appeal.
The initiative aims to make Larnaca’s beaches more visually attractive and provide a competitive advantage in tourism.
The Washingtonia palm trees match the variety found along Larnaca’s iconic Phinikoudes seafront.
Gradually implemented over the past seven years, the project is supported by the deputy tourism ministry and has significantly improved the image of local beaches.
Particular emphasis has been placed on Oroklini, which officials hope will become Cyprus’ greenest beach in the coming years.
