Local media continue to report on AFIK Group CEO Simon Mistriel Aykut, who was sentenced in the south in connection with property cases in the north and will serve the remainder of his sentence in Israel.
Politis reported that Israeli outlets have carried extensive coverage of Aykut’s case and, citing those reports, said his transfer to Israel could be completed this week.
Israeli media also referenced comments by Greek Cypriot Justice Minister Kostas Fitiris, who said the administration would comply with Israel’s request for Aykut’s transfer.
