Antalya hosted 2,711,395 visitors in August, marking an increase of nearly 38,000 compared to the same month last year, according to data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Russia remained the top source of international tourists, followed by Germany and the United Kingdom.
Other leading countries included Poland, Romania, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Notably, arrivals from Ukraine rose by 29%, while Russia and Germany saw increases of 6% and 5%, respectively.
From Jan. 1 to Aug. 31, the city welcomed 11,702,733 foreign tourists. Russia led with 2,664,054 visitors, followed by Germany with 2,205,309 and the United Kingdom with 1,116,023.
Volkan Yorulmaz, head of the Kemer Region Promotion Foundation, said the city’s tourism momentum remains strong, with solid bookings for the coming months. He identified Russia and Germany as Antalya’s primary markets, with the U.K. and Poland also showing growth.
Yorulmaz noted Antalya’s strength in the all-inclusive resort model but emphasized efforts to diversify tourism through cultural and sports activities. Investments in ancient cities and museums are helping expand the region’s appeal, while local tourism operators are increasingly focusing on events and experiences that draw visitors beyond hotel grounds.
