FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The Municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia unveiled the sculpture “The Battle of Leukolla” Tuesday at Leukolla Square in Protaras.
The ceremony marked the launch of “Music Meets Sculpture,” a municipal initiative featuring four concerts alongside four new public artworks.
Mayor Giorgos Nikolettos said the project reflects efforts to promote Protaras as a destination with strong cultural, historical and mythological identity. Sculptor Philippos Yiapanis presented the concept behind the piece and thanked the municipality for its collaboration.
Artists Giorgos “Kinezos” Grigoriou and Panagiotis Tsappis performed at the event.
