Tunisia and Algeria reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation during the 23rd session of the Tunisian‑Algerian Joint High Commission, which concluded Friday in Tunis, the Tunisian government said.
The session was co‑chaired by Tunisian Prime Minister Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri and Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb. Several agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed covering water, transport, investment, insurance, youth and sports, diplomacy, and media.
Ghrieb said the accords strengthen the legal and institutional framework for cooperation and expand economic ties beyond traditional sectors such as security, defense and energy. He pointed to opportunities to boost non‑hydrocarbon trade and joint investments.
On regional issues, the Algerian prime minister noted Tunisia and Algeria are fully aligned on the Palestinian cause and on supporting Libya’s sovereignty, unity and resources.
