Turkish police have detained 170 suspects in counterterrorism operations targeting the Islamic State over the past two weeks, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has confirmed.
Yerlikaya wrote on X that the raids were carried out in 32 provinces and focused on people suspected of operating within IS structures or providing financial support to the group.
He said 10 suspects have been formally arrested, while courts imposed judicial control measures on 15 others. Legal proceedings for the remaining detainees are continuing.
The nationalities of those detained were not immediately clear.
Türkiye designated IS a terrorist organization in 2013 and has been targeted by the group in multiple attacks. Authorities have since launched repeated counterterrorism operations at home and abroad.
