BEIRUT — The United Nations has verified the deaths of 103 civilians in Lebanon since the ceasefire agreement with Israel was reached in November 2024, calling for an immediate end to the suffering.
No Israeli casualties have been reported from projectiles fired from Lebanon during this period.
Ten months after the truce ended more than a year of clashes — including two months of open warfare between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah — the UN Human Rights Office is urging renewed efforts toward a lasting resolution.
“We continue to witness the horrific impact of airstrikes and drone attacks on residential areas and near UN peacekeeping forces in the south,” said UN human rights chief Volker Türk in a statement.
