At least eight people have died in Tanzania from a hemorrhagic fever caused by the Marburg virus, the World Health Organization (WHO) says, and it expects more cases to emerge in the coming days.
Just a month earlier, the WHO declared the Marburg virus epidemic in Rwanda over.
Marburg virus is a virus similar to Ebola that causes Marburg disease, also known as hemorrhagic fever. Symptoms of the disease include fever, headache, and nausea. Those infected may suffer from internal bleeding.
