A total of 119 foreign nationals residing illegally in Cyprus were repatriated to their countries of origin last week, as part of a continuing effort by police, the Aliens and Immigration Unit, and the Deputy Ministry of Migration to combat illegal immigration.
Since Jan. 1, 2026, a total of 5,288 foreign nationals residing illegally in Cyprus have been repatriated through voluntary and forced return procedures, authorities said.
Regarding irregular arrivals, 856 migrants have entered the country illegally so far in 2026, compared with 1,299 during the same period last year, according to police figures.
Police said they will continue focusing efforts on maximizing the repatriation of third-country nationals residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus, working in coordination with other relevant authorities.
