FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – President Nikos Christodoulides of Cyprus is visiting Silicon Valley to position the island as a regional hub for technology and innovation.
The president, who traveled from Houston, will meet with executives from global firms including OpenAI, Amazon, Google, Nvidia, Oracle, and Andreessen Horowitz.
The meetings aim to attract investment and establish Cyprus as a strategic gateway for companies expanding in the European Union, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Christodoulides is highlighting Cyprus’ strengths, including its advanced digital infrastructure and a growing tech sector that contributes over 14% to the country’s GDP.
He is joined by Deputy Ministers Nicodemos Damianou and Irene Piki, government officials, and leaders in Cyprus’ innovation initiatives.
