FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE -— Cyprus’ total imports of goods climbed 4.4% in April 2025, reaching €1.156 billion, compared to €1.106 billion in April 2024, according to data from the Statistical Service.
Imports from EU member states totaled €715.9 million, while third-country imports stood at €440.1 million.
Exports also saw a sharp increase, rising 10.7% to €390 million in April. Exports to EU states amounted to €105.7 million, while shipments to third countries rose to €284.3 million.
For the January–April period, total imports surged 18.9% to €4.356 billion, while exports jumped 45.1% to €1.743 billion.
The trade deficit widened to €2.613 billion, up from €2.464 billion in the same period last year.
