The Paphos International Film Festival (PIFF) concluded its 10th edition with a vibrant showcase of 18 short films and documentaries from around the world, spotlighting themes of memory, identity, conflict and connection.

Held from June 27 to 29 at the open-air Technopolis 20 Garden, this year’s festival featured a diverse lineup of works that resonated with audiences under the stars. Among the standout entries was 74 by Cypriot filmmaker Charalambos Margaritis, an animated reflection on the 1974 invasion of Cyprus.

Other notable selections included 3350 KM from Syria, a poignant documentary capturing the digital bond between a father and daughter separated by war, and Free Words from Turkey, which follows the story of detained Palestinian poet Mosab Abu Toha.

The festival, known for its commitment to independent cinema, once again offered free admission and invited audiences to vote for their favorite films each night.
