FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A convoy of 57 skip trucks staged a protest Monday in the Nicosia district, prompting police to issue a traffic advisory.
The vehicles followed a route from the Ministry of Agriculture to the Presidential Palace and then to the Department of Environment.
Authorities warned of possible delays along affected roads and urged drivers to follow instructions from traffic officers throughout the demonstration.
The protest was organized by skip truck owners demanding regulatory protections for their profession and opposing recent changes in waste management policy.
