Britain’s Royal Mail is paying tribute to legendary comedy troupe Monty Python with a new set of ten commemorative stamps, celebrating some of the group’s most iconic sketches and film moments.

Six stamps feature scenes from the BBC television series Monty Python’s Flying Circus, including “The Spanish Inquisition,” “Dead Parrot,” “The Ministry of Silly Walks,” and “The Nude Organist.” The remaining four mark the 50th anniversary of the cult classic film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, showcasing memorable moments such as the Black Knight’s defiant “’Tis but a scratch!”.

The stamps are available for pre-order and will go on sale August 14. Royal Mail said the collection honors a body of work that has shaped the comedic landscape for nearly six decades.

Monty Python, formed in 1969, included Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin, and Terry Gilliam. The group’s surreal and satirical style left a lasting mark on global comedy.
