President Nikos Christodoulides will travel to Armenia on Monday to take part in the European Political Community summit, the Presidency said.
According to the announcement, Cyprus will assume a special role in the summit’s plenary session for the first time. Christodoulides will deliver the opening remarks and provide the concluding comments.
On the sidelines of the meeting, he is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with heads of state and government as well as leaders of international organizations.
The Presidency noted that defense and security issues remain key priorities for Cyprus during its term holding the presidency of the Council of the European Union, with initiatives aimed at strengthening the EU’s deterrence capabilities.
