FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE— Foreign students made up 8.4% of the university population across the European Union in 2023, according to data released by the EU’s statistical agency.
Cyprus ranked third among member states for its proportion of international students.
The daily Haravgi reported that 22.3% of university students in Cyprus were foreign nationals, citing figures from Eurostat.
Luxembourg topped the list with 52.3%, followed by Malta at 29.6%. The report did not specify the exact number of foreign students enrolled in Cyprus.
