Swedish police have arrested one person following the fatal shooting of two individuals found in a car early Monday in Kallhäll, a suburb northwest of Stockholm.
Authorities have not disclosed the motive behind the arrest.
Police spokesperson Rebecca Landberg told news agency TT that witnesses reported several notable observations, including seeing someone flee the scene shortly after gunfire was heard.
“It involves sightings of a person running from the area immediately after shots were fired,” Landberg said.
“That said, I can’t confirm whether we’re dealing with one or multiple perpetrators.”
Investigators are examining possible links to gang-related activity.
