WARSAW, Poland — Poland will extend border controls with Germany and Lithuania for another six months in an effort to stem irregular migration, the Foreign Ministry announced.
Officials say the country has faced a migration crisis at its eastern frontier for the past four years, which they claim is being orchestrated by Belarus and Russia — allegations both nations deny.
According to the ministry, 25,000 irregular migrants have entered Poland so far this year.
