Cyprus Monday Forecast: Skies will be mostly clear, though periods of increased cloud cover are expected

A weak low-pressure system is influencing weather across the region, with intermittent airborne dust expected in the atmosphere.

Monday Forecast: Skies will be mostly clear, though periods of increased cloud cover are expected locally. Winds will be moderate to strong, blowing from the southwest to northwest at 4 to 5 Beaufort, occasionally reaching 6 Beaufort in exposed areas. Sea conditions will be slightly rough in the east and range from slightly to moderately rough elsewhere. Temperatures will peak at:

  • 28°C inland, southwest and northern coasts
  • 26°C on the western coast
  • 31°C on the southeastern and eastern coasts
  • 22°C in the higher mountains

Tonight: Conditions will remain mostly clear with some localized cloud cover. Winds will continue from the southwest to northwest, initially moderate (4 Beaufort) and locally strong (5 Beaufort), gradually weakening to 3 to 4 Beaufort. Seas will remain slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to:

  • 18°C inland
  • 19°C along the coast
  • 12°C in mountainous areas

Outlook:

  • Tuesday: Intermittent mid- and high-level clouds, with isolated showers or thunderstorms expected in southern areas after midday.
  • Wednesday: Mostly clear early on, with increasing cloud cover later in the day bringing isolated showers, mainly in mountainous regions.
  • Thursday: Periods of increased cloudiness with light, scattered rain possible.

Temperatures will rise slightly through Wednesday before dipping on Thursday, remaining near or slightly above seasonal averages.
