A 43-year-old man awaiting trial at the Paphos police station was found dead Friday night, reportedly having taken his own life.
According to Alithia newspaper, the man had been arrested on charges of malicious property damage. Due to lack of space at the Central Prison, he was held in a detention cell at the police station until his scheduled court appearance.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
