Defense Minister Vasilis Palmas revealed that, so far, two women have expressed interest in volunteering for the National Guard.
Speaking on Cyprus radio, Palmas said he hopes the number of female volunteers will increase in the coming days.
He added that the National Guard is fully prepared, in terms of infrastructure and logistics, to welcome women volunteers into its ranks.
