U.S. President Donald Trump filed a $5 billion defamation lawsuit against the BBC on Monday, accusing the broadcaster of misleadingly editing a speech about the Capitol riot.
Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that the network had “put words in my mouth” and made it appear he said things he never uttered.
Media reports said the suit seeks at least $5 billion in damages.
