After weeks of decline, technology stocks in the US saw a rise on Wednesday, with the Nasdaq index ending up 1.2%, recovering some of its losses.
Over the past month, the Nasdaq has fallen by 10.2%, but it remains 9.1% higher than a year ago.
The S&P 500 index rose by 0.5% on Wednesday and has increased by 8.4% over the past year, despite a 7.5% decline in the past month.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 0.2% on Wednesday but has risen by 5.9% over the past year.
Among the winners on Wednesday were Tesla and Nvidia. Tesla’s stock, which has more than halved since mid-December, rose by 7.6%. Nvidia’s stock, which has fallen by 13.8% so far this year, rose by 6.4%.
