Police arrested three people in Larnaca after seizing more than a kilo and a half of cannabis during a series of searches, authorities said Saturday.

The Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) said two 21‑year‑olds and a 45‑year‑old woman were taken into custody after officers searched the woman’s car, which was parked outside her home. Inside, they found two plastic bags containing roughly 1.1 kilograms of cannabis.

A follow‑up search of the residence shared by the woman and one of the young men uncovered additional quantities: about 414 grams of cannabis in several packages, another 14 grams in a box, and a precision scale.

Police said they also recovered two plastic bags containing around 60 grams of cannabis from a bin outside the home. The second 21‑year‑old had earlier been seen throwing them away.

All three suspects were detained as YKAN continues its investigation.
