A knife‑wielding man was arrested in Larnaca on Wednesday after threatening two women and briefly barricading himself inside an apartment, police said.
The incident began at around 3:30 p.m., when the man appeared on the apartment’s balcony holding a knife and shouting threats. He later retreated inside with the two women, prompting police to seal off the area.
Negotiators engaged with the man before officers entered the apartment and arrested him shortly before 6 p.m. No injuries were reported.
