Cyprus faces a very small risk of terrorist attacks or being targeted, Justice Minister Konstantinos Fytiris said, citing the country’s long‑standing role as a hub for peacekeeping and humanitarian operations.
Asked about potential terrorist incidents and links to organized crime, Fytiris said the two can sometimes overlap but remain distinct issues.
He noted that Cyprus has recorded only a handful of terrorist attacks over the past 30 to 40 years.
