Police are investigating a road collision in Larnaca that left a 52‑year‑old man dead last night.
The victim, Nikos Nikolaou of Dromolaxia, was driving along Ellados Avenue in Aradippou at around 7:30 p.m. when his car collided with another vehicle driven by a 68‑year‑old man, who had a 34‑year‑old passenger. The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
Fire‑service crews were called to free Nikolaou from his vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to Larnaca General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
The two men in the second car were also taken to hospital. The 68‑year‑old driver was kept for observation, while the 34‑year‑old passenger was treated and discharged.
Larnaca Traffic Police are continuing their inquiries.
