Police have announced a week of intensified traffic enforcement focused on speed checks in an effort to reduce serious and fatal road collisions.
The campaign runs from Monday, April 13, through Sunday, April 19, 2026, and is being carried out alongside a parallel Europe‑wide operation coordinated through the ROADPOL traffic network.
Authorities noted that excessive speed remains one of the leading causes of severe and deadly crashes.
