President Nikos Christodoulides described THOC 2025 awards ceremony as an important moment of recognition for the personal journeys and achievements of Cyprus’ theatre community.
In his address, he said the distinctions reflect the recipients’ hard work, persistence, talent and commitment to their artistic vision.
Christodoulides noted that a key achievement of the Cypriot EU Presidency is the agreement among all 27 member states on a strategic roadmap for culture.
He also highlighted annual state support of €1.4 million for independent theatre and €5.3 million for the State Theatre.
