Cyprus has recorded a second case of avian influenza, after the Veterinary Services officially confirmed that another goose found dead at Athalassa Park last Tuesday had been infected with the virus.
Samples taken in recent days from a further 100 wild and farmed birds all tested negative.
The 10-day incubation period set as the monitoring window expires today, with no further cases recorded.
Earlier reports said five people were being monitored in connection with the outbreak.
