President Nikos Christodoulides has exercised his constitutional powers to reshape the composition of the Cypriot government, announcing a series of ministerial and senior appointments.
Evanthia Tsolaki has been named Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, while Christos Senekis takes over as Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment. Tina Pavlou has been appointed Deputy Minister of Social Welfare and Clea Papaellina Deputy Minister of Culture.
Mr Christodoulides also confirmed a number of other senior appointments: Elias Myrianthos as Commissioner for the Environment and Animal Welfare, Irene Pogiatzi as Citizen’s Commissioner, and Panagiotis Palates as Director of the Office of the President of the Republic.
The new appointees will be formally confirmed and sworn in at a ceremony at the Presidential Palace on Thursday, August 6, at 9.30am.
