Teenager taken to hospital after landing on wooden pergola below; police say she was in the flat with other minors
An emergency call went out in the early hours of the morning in Limassol after a 15-year-old girl fell from the window of a third-floor flat, landing on the roof of a wooden pergola at ground level.
According to the spokesman for the Fire Service, Andreas Kettis, the emergency response team was alerted to the life-saving call at 4.17am.
Police said the teenager had been in the flat together with other minors at the time of the incident.
A rescue team was dispatched to the scene, and worked alongside ambulance crews to secure the girl on a spinal immobilisation stretcher before she was handed over to paramedics.
She was then taken by ambulance to the accident and emergency department of Limassol General Hospital. Her condition is reported to be out of danger.
One rescue/fire vehicle responded to the incident.
