The number of registered motor vehicles in Cyprus has reached 1.1 million, it has been reported.
Alithia noted that the number of registered vehicles is now almost equal to the population, citing Cypriot Statistical Service figures showing that 34,787 new and second-hand vehicles were added to the roads between January and July.
The report pointed to a sharp rise in vehicle sales this year compared with last, noting an 11.5% increase against last year’s total of 52,508 new vehicle sales.
