The number of registered unemployed people in Cyprus rose to 10,809 in September on a seasonally adjusted basis, up from 10,715 in August, according to the Statistical Service.
Based on data held by the district labour offices, the number of registered unemployed at the end of September 2026 was 8,366. The seasonally adjusted figures show the trend in unemployment.
Compared with September 2025, there was an increase of 742 people, or 9.7%. The Statistical Service said the rise was mainly in public administration and defence, information and communication, and administrative and support activities.
