The President’s confidence in the Minister of Justice and the police is ‘a given’ and has been strengthened, according to the government spokesman, who said an effort is underway to upgrade the police force.
The spokesman said it was no appropriate to hold a public debate based or arbitrary conclusions before the investigations into the fatal shooting by police of a 24-year-old man near Nicosia.
The spokesman said there would be no cover-up, CyBC reported.
