Around 20 people were wounded in a drone attack on the town of Nabatieh, while another four were injured when the village of Zawter was hit.
The Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) says an Air Force aircraft hit a Hezbollah truck and another vehicle carrying weapons in the area around Chaqif and Nabatieh.
“The IDF is determined to continue operating in accordance with the agreement between Israel and Lebanon, despite Hezbollah’s attempts to return to southern Lebanon. And we will act against any threat to the State of Israel and its citizens,” the IDF statement said.
The attacks come after the White House announced over the weekend that the ceasefire agreement signed between Israel and the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militia in November has been extended until February 18.
