Significantly fewer people applied for international protection in Finland last year, according to newly released figures.
The number of asylum applications was 45 percent lower than in 2023, reports the Finnish Immigration Service.
The unrest in Gaza or the fighting in Lebanon were not reflected in Finland. However, the number of student applications was at a record high last year.
